Vetiver

Vetiver

This is a grass originally found in India. We’re interested in its roots, which have many aromatic uses. In countries where it’s been classically cultivated, it was traditional to put the roots in cupboards to scent linen or to dampen and leave the roots by windows to catch the hot breeze and scent the home.  Cool, calming vetiver has many different facets. It can be earthy, grounding, and smoky but also with nutty or even liquorice elements.
